Placeholder document. This is a template reflecting how Builder Worldwide's billing and accounts actually work today (Section 11). It has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed before publishing — it is required by both Apple and Google before app store submission (Section 12).

1. Agreement

These Terms govern use of the Builder Worldwide app and website (the "Service"), operated by Builder Worldwide LLC. By creating an Account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the company you represent.

2. Accounts and roles

Each Account represents one building company. The Account's Master Admin is responsible for the Account, including inviting and removing users and choosing the Account's plan. Every person using the Service has their own login; shared logins are not permitted.

3. Plans, billing, and the free trial

New Accounts receive a 30-day free trial with full access, usable once per Account.
After the trial, an Account is billed per active, billable user per month at its plan's price (Normal or Builder Worldwide Pro), or per year at a 10% discount to the monthly total. Trade partners are never billed.
Billing is processed by Stripe. Invoices and receipts are sent to the Master Admin.
If payment fails or a subscription lapses, the Account may become read-only until payment is resolved.
You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful business purposes related to construction scheduling and project management, not to attempt to access another Account's data, and not to interfere with the Service's operation or security.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the project data, photos, documents, and other content you upload. You grant us the limited right to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Contracts and e-signatures (Pro accounts)

The Pro tier's contract signing feature records a typed name and timestamp as a simple confirmation, not a certified electronic-signature product. Do not rely on it for documents that require a legally certified e-signature; use a dedicated e-signature provider for those.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The mobile apps retain a local copy of recent data so the calendar, tasks, and schedules remain viewable without a connection.

8. Termination

You may delete your Account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or violation of these Terms.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is." Builder Worldwide is a scheduling and project-management tool; it does not replace professional judgment on construction, safety, permitting, or legal matters. To the extent permitted by law, Builder Worldwide LLC's liability arising from use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

10. Changes to these Terms

We will update the "Last updated" date above when these Terms change and, for material changes, notify Account admins by email.
