Placeholder document. This is a template describing what the Builder Worldwide app actually collects and does today. It has not been reviewed by an attorney and is not legal advice. Have it reviewed before publishing — it is required by both Apple and Google before app store submission (Section 12).

1. Who we are

Builder Worldwide ("we," "us") provides construction scheduling and project management software to home builders and remodelers ("Account," "you") and their staff and trade partners. This policy describes what information we collect through the Builder Worldwide app and website, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

Account and profile information: name, email, phone number, time zone, and role, provided when you or your Account's admin creates your login.
Project data: communities, projects, tasks, schedules, delays, notes, and — on Pro accounts — daily logs, documents, purchase orders, invoices, submittals, warranty claims, and contracts, entered by your Account's users.
Photos: task completion photos and, on Pro accounts, daily log photos, uploaded by your Account's users.
Trade partner contact information: company name, contact name, email, and phone, entered by your Account's admins and construction managers.
Billing information: processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
Device and usage information: device type, app version, and basic diagnostic logs, to keep the service reliable.

3. How we use information

To operate the scheduling, notification, and reporting features you use.
To send task reminders, delay alerts, and account emails (invitations, password resets, billing notices).
To bill your Account based on active users, as described in your Account's plan.
To maintain the security of the service, including enforcing that one Account's data is never visible to another.

4. How information is shared

Data entered in your Account is visible only to authorized users of that Account, according to their role (Section 4 of our product specification governs exactly what each role can see). We do not sell personal information. We share information with the service providers that make the app work: Supabase (hosting and database), Resend (email delivery), Stripe (billing), and Expo (push notifications) — each only to the extent needed to provide their part of the service.

5. Data retention and deletion

We retain Account data for as long as the Account is active. You can request deletion of your personal account from within the app's settings. Deleting an Account removes its data, subject to what we are required to keep for legal, tax, or billing records.

6. Security

All traffic to and from the app is encrypted in transit. Data is encrypted at rest by our hosting provider. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. Row-level security enforces Account and role boundaries at the database level, not only in the app.

7. Children's privacy

Builder Worldwide is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to this policy

We will update the "Last updated" date above when this policy changes and, for material changes, notify Account admins by email.
